IPL technology, short for Intense Pulsed Light, is the method used by home devices for hair removal. By gently pulsing light onto the hair root, the device causes the hair to enter its resting phase, leading to hair loss and reduction in hair growth over time. Through the use of different wavelengths, IPL devices heat hair follicles, resulting in hair shedding and entering a resting phase.
